식품의약품안전평가원, 美국립암연구소와 차세대 항암제 평가기술 개발

식품의약품안전처 소속 식품의약품안전평가원이 미국 국립암연구소(NCI)와 지난해 11월 19일 업무협약을 맺고 올해부터 차세대 항암제 평가기술 개발에 필요한 국제공동연구를 추진한다.

개인맞춤형 항암백신 개발 등이 추진되는 해당 과제에는 오는 2028년까지 90억 원이 투입된다. NCI와의 협력 연구도 시행된다.

특히 연구에서는 합성 펩타이드와 메신저 리보핵산(mRNA) 등 신기술이 활용된 항암백신에 대한 안전성을 평가하는 기술을 개발하고 평가 플랫폼 구축도 추진될 예정이다.

이에 따라 다음 달 3일까지 연구자가 모집된다.

식약처는 이번 연구가 NCI와의 연구 협력을 강화하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대했다.
