크레이그 헤드필드 볼파라 헬스 신임 CEO

루닛의 자회사 볼파라 헬스가 크레이그 헤드필드 전 최고고객재무책임자(CCFO)를 최고경영자(CEO)로 선임했다.

크레이그 헤드필드 신임 CEO는 남아프리카공화국 비트바테르스란트 대학에서 회계 및 재무학 학사와 회계 전문가 과정을 거친 공인회계사다. 언스트앤영(EY)와 딜로이트(Deloitte) 등 회계법인을 거쳤다. 지난 2016년 볼파라에 합류해 재무관리자(FC), 최고재무책임자(CFO), CCFO를 역임했다.

볼파라에서 수익 구조를 구독형 소프트웨어(SaaS) 모델로 전환을 이끌었다. 이에 따라 회사는 연 매출이 100만 달러(약 14억 원)에서 3천만 달러(약 430억 원)로 증가했다. 시가 총액도 7천만 호주 달러(약 638억 원)에서 3억 호주 달러(약 2천734억원)으로 급성장했다.

그는 루닛의 볼파라 인수 과정에서도 핵심 역할을 맡았다. 인수합병 이후 통합(PMI) 작업을 주도해 왔다.

서범석 루닛 대표는 “두 회사의 안정적인 통합과 동반 상승 창출을 위한 리더”라며 “재무 및 M&A 분야 전문성을 통해 양사가 글로벌 의료 AI 시장에서 성과를 이뤄낼 것으로 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.

크레이그 헤드필드 CEO도 “의료와 미국 사업에 대한 이해도와 전문성을 기반으로 루닛과 함께 글로벌 영향력 확대에 집중하겠다”라며 “두 회사의 사업적 시너지로 의료 AI 고객들에게 더 나은 가치를 제공하겠다”라고 말했다.
