작년 국민연금 기금 운용수익률 15%

국민연금공단 기금운용본부가 지난해 말 기준 국민연금기금 적립금 1천213조 원, 수익금 160조 원, 수익률 15.00%(잠정·금액가중수익률)를 기록했다.

이번 기록은 1988년 국민연금에 기금이 설치된 이후 가장 높은 수익률. 이에 따라 기금 설치 이후 수익률은 연평균 6.82%를 기록했으며, 누적 운용수익금은 총 738조 원으로 집계됐다. 자산별 수익률은 ▲해외주식 34.32% ▲해외채권 17.14% ▲대체투자 17.09% ▲국내채권 5.27% ▲국내 주식 –6.94% 등이다.

해외주식은 미국 연방준비제도의 기준금리 인하, 기술주 중심의 강세로 30%대 수익률을 보였다. 국내 주식은 대형 기술주 실적 우려와 정치적 불확실성 등으로 마이너스를 기록했다.

해외채권은 시장금리 상승에도 양호한 이자수익과 원·달러 환율상승 효과로 두 자릿수 수익률을 냈다. 국내 채권은 한국은행 금융통화위원회가 작년 10월과 11월 기준금리를 인하하며 채권 가격이 상승해 5%대 수익률을 나타냈다. 대체투자 수익률에는 자산의 평가 가치 상승과 실현이익이 반영됐다.

국민연금 기금운용 최종 성과평가는 위험관리·성과보상전문위원회 검토 등을 거쳐 오는 6월 말쯤 기금운용위원회가 확정할 예정이다.

김태현 이사장은 “지난해 경기둔화 우려·지정학적 리스크 지속·미 대선 및 국내 정치 불안정 등 어려운 투자 환경 속에도 국민연금이 2년 연속 최고의 성과를 냈다”라며 “국내외 자산의 포트폴리오 다변화와 글로벌 운용사와의 전략적 파트너십을 통한 우량 투자 기회 발굴과 해외사무소 기능 강화 등 기금운용 인프라를 개선해 온 결과”라고 밝혔다.

아울러 “기준포트폴리오 도입과 차세대 해외투자 통합시스템 가동, 해외 전문인력 채용 등 기금운용 역량을 더욱 강화하겠다”라며 “위험관리도 철저히 해서 기금수익률 제고에 힘쓰겠다”라고 전했다.
