'AI 자율생산' 로아이, 14억원 시드투자 유치

인공지능(AI) 로보틱스 기반 자율생산 솔루션을 개발하는 스타트업 로아이(ROAI)가 14억원 규모의 시드 투자를 유치했다고 13일 밝혔다.

이번 투자는 퓨처플레이가 리드로 참여했으며, 슈미트와 마크앤컴퍼니가 공동으로 투자했다.

로아이는 현대자동차 제조솔루션본부에서 분사한 기술 기반 기업이다. 글로벌 최고 수준의 제조 노하우와 현장 경험을 바탕으로 설립됐다. 복잡한 자동화 설계와 인력 의존 문제를 해소하기 위한 AI 로보틱스 솔루션을 개발 중이다.

로아이의 핵심 제품인 '셀로(XELO)'는 제조 공정의 설계부터 로봇 제어까지 전 과정을 자동화하는 통합 플랫폼이다.

사용자는 셀로 워크스페이스를 통해 웹 기반 3D 환경에서 직접 공장을 설계하고, 생산 과정을 시뮬레이션할 수 있다. 셀로 AI는 공정 분배, 속도 최적화, 모션 생성 등 복잡한 작업을 자동으로 수행해 클릭 한 번으로 전체 생산 공정을 완성할 수 있도록 지원한다.

로아이는 이번 투자 유치를 바탕으로 ▲올해 하반기 셀로 워크스페이스 베타 버전 출시 ▲AI 및 로보틱스 분야 핵심 인재 채용 ▲국내외 제조사와의 AI 자동화 프로젝트를 본격 추진할 계획이다. 또 완전 자율생산을 실증할 테스트베드 공장 구축에도 착수해 기술 고도화와 실증 역량을 함께 확보할 예정이다.

홍석의 로아이 대표는 "클릭 한 번으로 생산이 가능한 원클릭 팩토리라는 비전 아래, 제조 진입장벽을 낮추고 누구나 손쉽게 자동화 생산라인을 구축할 수 있도록 돕고자 한다"며 "제조 산업의 새로운 표준을 제시하는 것이 목표"라고 말했다.

이번 투자를 리드한 전아람 퓨처플레이 수석심사역은 "로아이의 가장 큰 강점은 도메인에 대한 깊은 이해를 바탕으로, 단순한 로봇 단위 경로 계획을 넘어 공장 및 공정 전체를 아우르는 플래닝 솔루션을 개발할 수 있다는 점"이라고 전했다.
