전남바이오진흥원, 바이오USA 2025 참가…"지역 우수 기업 글로벌로”

전남바이오진흥원이 다음 달 미국 보스턴에서 개최하는 바이오 USA 2025에 참가한다.

지난해에 이어 2회 연속 참가하는 진흥원은 올해 ▲박셀바이오 ▲디알큐어 ▲화순전남대병원 의생명연구원 등과 참가단을 구성, 참여 기관들의 핵심 기술을 세계시장에 소개한다는 계획이다.

박셀바이오는 차세대 세포치료제의 기술 이전과 글로벌 파트너링을 추진한다. 디알큐어는 나노입자 기반 암 치료 플랫폼 기술을 중심으로 기술 협력을 모색할 예정. 화순전남대병원 의생명연구원은 임상연구 역량과 미래의료 인프라를 선보인다.

참가단은 내달 18일 열리는 ‘코리아 나이트 리셉션’에 참석해 글로벌 제약사·바이오기업·투자자 및 연구기관 관계자들과 네트워킹을 강화할 예정이다. 진흥원은 전남도 바이오산업의 우수성을 전 세계에 알려 우리 기업의 현지 진출 기회를 확대한다는 계획.

박람회 참여 외에도 참가단은 보스턴에 있는 대학과 바이오헬스기업, 바이오클러스터도 방문한다. 글로벌 연구 환경과 산학연 협력 모델 체험으로 해외 네트워크와 협업 기회를 확대할 예정.

진흥원은 바이오 USA 참여 외에도 지속적으로 지역 바이오헬스 기업의 해외 진출과 기술 혁신 지원 사업을 펴기로 했다.

진흥원 관계자는 “바이오USA 2025 참가로 도내 바이오기업의 기술 경쟁력을 세계에 알리고  글로벌 파트너십과 교류 협력 등의 실질 성과를 기대한다”라며 “지속적인 글로벌 교류로 전남 바이오산업의 미래 경쟁력을 더욱 강화해 나가겠다”라고 밝혔다.
