법무법인 태평양, 오창현 前 보건복지부 보건산업진흥과장 영입

법무법인 태평양(이하 태평양)이 오창현 전 보건복지부 보건산업진흥과장을 고문으로 영입해 헬스케어 분야 전문성을 강화했다.

오창현 고문은 중앙대학교 위생제약학과를 졸업하고 강원대 약학과에서 석사 학위를 취득한 후 1994년 보건사회부(현 보건복지부)에서 공직 생활을 시작했다.

이후 식품의약품안전청(현 식품의약품안전처) 의약품관리과 및 의약품안전과, 보건복지부 의약품정책과 및 보건의료정책과, 차관실, 보험약제과 등 다양한 부서에서 근무했고, 2016년부터는 질병관리본부에서 자원관리과장과 인천공항 검역과장으로 일했다.

다시 보건복지부로 복귀한 그는 의료기관정책과장과 보험약제과장, 보건산업진흥과장을 맡으며 30여 년간 의약품 관련 실무 및 정책 수립에 힘써왔다.

오 고문은 최근까지 보건산업진흥과에서 혁신형제약기업 인증 정책과 제약바이오, 의료기기 산업 해외진출 지원 등 의약품, 의료기기, 보건산업 육성·지원 정책을 총괄한 경험을 바탕으로 태평양 헬스케어그룹에서 제약·바이오, 식품, 화장품 및 의료기관과 관련한 헬스케어 전분야에 걸쳐 자문을 제공할 예정이다.

태평양 이준기 대표변호사는 “K-바이오가 글로벌 시장에서 존재감을 넓히고 있지만 바이오·헬스케어 분야는 대표적인 규제산업인 만큼 기업의 고민이 많을 수밖에 없다”며 “오 고문의 영입으로 태평양 헬스케어그룹의 전문성이 크게 강화되면서 기업들에게 최고 수준의 솔루션을 제공할 수 있게 됐다”고 말했다.

한편 태평양 헬스케어그룹에는 보건의료·제약바이오 분야에서 민관을 대표하는 전문가들이 다양하게 포진해 있다. 이영찬 전 보건복지부 차관을 비롯해 송영주 전 한국 존슨앤드존슨 대외협력 및 정책담당 부사장, 최성락 전 식품의약품안전처 차장, 정윤균 전 국민건강보험공단 종로지사장 등을 고문으로 영입해 보건의료·제약바이오 정책 및 규제 자문 등에 대한 방향성을 제시하고 있다.

또 보건복지부 사무관 출신 여정현 변호사(변호사시험 5회), 식품의약품안전처 및 서울중앙지방검찰청 마약범죄특별수사팀 출신 조민주 전문위원, 건강보험심사평가원 출신 최윤희 전문위원 등 실무에 강한 전문가들이 태평양 헬스케어그룹에서 자문을 제공하고 있다.
