식약처, BMS ‘레포트렉티닙’ 허가

식품의약품안전처가 한국비엠에스제약이 수입하는 희귀의약품 ‘옥타이로캡슐(레포트렉티닙)’을 5일 품목허가했다.

해당 제품은 ROS1 양성 국소 진행성이나 전이성 비소세포성폐암 성인 환자의 치료에 사용한다. 또 NTRK(Neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase) 유전자 융합을 보유한 성인 및 12세 이상 소아의 국소 진행성, 전이성이나 수술적 절제 시 중증으로 이환될 가능성이 높은 고형암 치료에 사용한다.

ROS1와 NTRK 유전자의 돌연변이가 발생하면 비정상적 단백질이 발현돼 세포 증식 및 생존에 관여하는 하위 세포 신호 경로를 활성화해 암세포의 증식을 유도한다.

레포트렉티닙은 암세포의 증식에 관여하는 단백질 ROS1 및 TRK를 억제하여 암세포의 성장과 생존을 저해하고 암세포 사멸을 유도함으로써 항암 효과를 나타낸다.

식약처는 “이 약이 ROS1 양성인 비소세포성폐암이나 NTRK 유전자 융합을 보유한 고형암 환자에게 새로운 치료 기회를 제공할 것으로 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.
