와이투솔루션, HRT로보틱스 인수…로봇 사업 진출

와이투솔루션은 로봇 시스템 통합(SI) 전문기업 에이치알티로보틱스(HRT)를 인수했다고 10일 밝혔다.

HRT는 글로벌 협동로봇 제조사 유니버설로봇의 국내 1호 공식 파트너사다. 고객사 제조 환경에 맞춘 로봇 자동화 설계·공급을 수행하고 있다.

특히 제어 시스템 연동, 비전카메라, 자율주행로봇(AMR) 등과의 통합 역량을 갖춘 자동화 솔루션 기업으로 평가받는다. 현재 자율주행로봇을 자체 개발 중이다.

유니버설로봇은 세계 첫 협동로봇을 상용화한 기업으로 글로벌 시장 점유율이 40%에 달한다. 시가총액 약 19조원의 나스닥 상장기업 테라다인의 자회사다. 협동로봇과 자율주행로봇을 포함한 글로벌 자동화 생태계 중심 역할을 하고 있다.

와이투솔루션은 이번 인수를 통해 기존 전력공급장치(PSU) 사업에 로봇 SI 역량을 더해 산업용 협동로봇, 로봇 통합 솔루션 시장에 진출한다는 설명이다. 고효율 파워모듈 개발 기술을 바탕으로 향후 로봇용 충전 파워모듈 분야까지 사업을 확장할 계획이다.

강석환 와이투솔루션 대표는 "로봇 SI 사업 진출과 함께 스마트팩토리 등 미래 제조 산업 구현을 위한 핵심 역량을 확보했다는 데 의미가 크다"며 "HRT 인수 시너지를 바탕으로 로봇까지 사업 영역을 확장할 계획"이라고 말했다.
