"암정보 더 확산…글로벌 암 지식정보 허브로 발돋음”

국립암센터가 지난 5일 대한상공회의소에서 ‘국가암정보센터 20주년 심포지엄’을 개최했다.

심포지엄 주제는 ‘암 정보에서 암 지식정보로, 새로운 20년을 향하여’. ‘정보 오남용의 사회적 영향과 대응 전략’이란 주제로 열린 심포지엄은 강건욱 서울대의대 교수를 좌장으로 발표가 진행됐다. 

발제자 및 발표 주제는 ▲이은주 서울대 언론정보학과 교수 ‘AI와 허위조작정보’ ▲강은교 국립암센터 교수 ‘의료 분야의 정보 오남용: 유튜브 속 건강정보, 어디까지 믿을 수 있을까’ 등이다.

이어진 기념식에서는 국가암정보센터의 홍보영상 상영, 케이크 커팅 등이 진행됐다. 

특히 국립암센터-대한암학회 간 업무협약(MOU)에 대해 센터는 “암 정보의 생산부터 소비, 확산까지 이어지는 실천적 협력 체계를 구축하고, 국민 누구나 믿고 활용할 수 있는 지식정보 환경을 함께 조성해 나가겠다는 약속”이라며 “국가암지식정보센터의 새 출발을 대내외에 알린 계기”라고 밝혔다.

또 정책 세션은 최귀선 국립암세터 국가암관리사업본부장을 좌장으로 진행됐다. 주제는 ‘디지털 암 정보의 현실과 도전: 미래를 향한 20년의 비전’. 연자 및 발표주제는 ▲조주희 성균관의대 교수 ‘디지털 암 정보의 미래: 더 쉬워진 정보 접근, 더 어려워진 올바른 선택’ ▲박동진 한림대 광고홍보학과 교수 ‘가짜뉴스 확산과 헬스 리터러시 : 건강 정보의 미래 전략’ 등이다.

종합토론은 지의규 서울대의대 교수가 좌장을 맡아 ‘효과적 암 정보 소통을 위한 사회 각계의 역할과 과제’에 대한 논의가 이뤄졌다. 이 자리에는 ▲보건·의료계 ▲암 환자단체 ▲언론 ▲정부 기관 관계자 등이 참석했다.

양한광 국립암센터 원장은 “국가암지식정보센터는 국민의 암 ‘지식’을 향상시키는 정보 플랫폼으로서 소통을 강화하고, 올바른 암 정보의 확산에 기여할 것”이라며 “언어·제도 장벽으로 정보 접근에 어려움을 겪는 해외동포에게도 신뢰할 수 있는 암 정보를 전달할 수 있도록 글로벌 암 지식정보 허브의 역할도 확대해 나가겠다”라고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립암센터는 6월 암 생존자 주간을 맞아 9일~13일 ‘암 환자 사회복귀 지원 및 지역 네트워크 활성화를 위한 2025년 리본(ReːBorn) 마켓’을 열었다. 리본 마켓에서 발생한 수익금은 재단법인 국립암센터 발전기금에 총매출액의 10%를 기부해 암 환자를 위한 여러 활동에 사용될 예정이다.
