엑스플라, 글로벌 결제 서비스 ‘알케미 페이’와 파트너십

글로벌 블록체인 메인넷 엑스플라(XPLA)는 다국적 결제 인프라 기업 ‘알케미 페이(Alchemy Pay)’와 파트너십을 체결했다고 18일 밝혔다. 

이번 파트너십으로 글로벌 이용자들이 가상자산 거래소를 이용하지 않고도 손쉽게 XPLA를 구매할 수 있다.

알케미 페이는 비자, 마스터카드(, 애플 페이, 은행 이체 등으로 가상자산을 구매할 수 있는 글로벌 결제 서비스다. 현재 173개국에서 50여 종의 법정통화를 지원하며 블록체인 실사용 확대에 기여하는 대표적인 파트너로 주목받고 있다.

XPLA는 이번 연동을 통해 알케미 페이의 온램프(On-Ramp) 기능을 도입한다. 온램프 기능은 법정통화를 블록체인 자산으로 전환하는 기능으로 이용자 친화적인 웹3 환경 구축에 중요한 역할을 수행한다. 

거래소를 거치지 않고 XPLA를 간편하게 구매할 수 있는 방법이 추가되면서 글로벌 유저들의 이용 편의성이 대폭 향상될 것으로 기대된다. 온램프 기능은 각국의 관련 법령 및 규제 정책에 맞춰 서비스가 제공된다.

폴 킴 XPLA 팀 리더는 “이번 알케미 페이 협업은 글로벌 유저들이 익숙한 결제 방식으로 XPLA 생태계에 진입할 수 있도록 돕는다”며 “앞으로도 실사용 기반 서비스를 지속 확대해 누구나 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 XPLA 생태계를 만들어가겠다”고 전했다.
