일동홀딩스, 일동바이오사이언스 지분투자 유치

일동홀딩스는 계열사인 일동바이오사이언스의 지분 일부를 아이비케이키움 사업재편 사모투자합자회사를 비롯한 기관 투자자들에게 매도한다고 밝혔다.

주식 거래 규모는 발행 총수의 47.6%에 해당하는 381만주(약 300억원 규모)이며, 이달 중 1차분에 대한 120억원을 먼저 납입 받고, 나머지 2차분에 대해서는 7월말까지 정산 처리를 완료한다는 계획이다.

일동홀딩스 측은 이번 일동바이오사이언스 주식을 활용한 지분투자 유치가 기업 및 주주가치를 제고하고, 계열사 운영과 사업 추진 등에 필요한 재원을 확보하기 위함이라고 설명했다.

투자유치를 통해 일동홀딩스는 자사가 보유한 계열사의 기업 가치를 자본 시장에서 평가 받고, 외부 기관의 사전 투자를 유도하는 등 향후 계획된 일동바이오사이언스의 기업 공개(IPO)를 활성화하는 기회로 삼는다는 방침이다.

일동바이오사이언스는 지난 2016년 일동제약으로부터 분할해 일동홀딩스의 계열사로 설립된 건강기능식품 및 관련 원료‧소재 전문기업이다.

특히 프로바이오틱스(probiotics)와 포스트바이오틱스(postbiotics) 분야의 원천 기술 및 특허, 국내 최고 수준의 전용 제조 시설과 5000종 이상의 방대한 종균 데이터 등 탄탄한 사업 인프라와 경쟁력을 보유하고 있다.

또 20여 종의 미국 자체 검증 GRAS(Self-Affirmed Generally Recognized As Safe) 프로바이오틱스, 국내 최초의 피부 면역‧혈중 콜레스테롤 개선 관련 식품의약품안전처 개별인정형 포스트바이오틱스 등과 같은 기능성 원료 및 소재 등을 앞세워 국내외 시장을 적극 공략하고 있다.

일동홀딩스는 2028년 IPO를 목표로 일동바이오사이언스에 대한 투자유치 및 상장 요건 충족에 나선다는 방침이다.
