유유제약, 국방부와 ‘유유캠페인’ 눈길

유유제약이 국방부 유해발굴감식단과 6·25 전사자 유해발굴사업 확산을 위한 ‘유유 캠페인’을 진행한다.

유유 캠페인은 “당신도(YOU), 당신의 지인도 유(遺)가족일 수 있다”라는 의미다. 6·25전쟁 당시 전사했음에도 수습되지 못한 12만 여위의 유해를 찾아 유가족과 DNA 검사를 통해 일치하는 호국영웅을 국립 현충원에 모시는 보훈사업을 활성화하자는 취지다.

캠페인에 참여하려면 본인 친·외가 8촌 이내에 6·25 미수습 전사자가 있는지 확인 후 국방부 유해발굴감식단에 연락해 인근 군부대나 군·보훈·적십자병원, 보건소에서 구강을 스펀지 막대로 문지르는 간단한 시료 채취에 응하면 된다.

시료 채취 시 기념품 및 건강기능식품이 증정된다. 유가족으로 확인되면 10만 원의 포상금이 지급된다. 6·25 전사자 신원확인 시 유가족 대표에게 1천만 원의 포상금이 지급된다.

유유제약은 유전자 시료 채취에 동참한 유가족에게 증정되는 건강기능식품을 지원한다. 국방부 유해발굴감식단과 유유 캠페인 온·오프라인 홍보를 펼 예정이다.

박노용 대표는 “유유제약은 지난 2023년 국가보훈시책에 협조하고 보훈 가족의 복지 증진에 기여한 공로로 국가보훈부 감사패를 받았다”라며 “앞으로도 보훈 문화 확산에 기여할 수 있도록 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
