우유‧아이스크림 등 유가공품 제조·판매 업소 집중 점검

식품의약품안전처는 고온·다습한 여름철 부패·변질 우려가 증가하는 우유, 발효유, 아이스크림 등의 안전한 유통을 위해 7월7일부터 25일까지 17개 지방자치단체와 함께 유가공품 제조·판매업소에 대한 집중 점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 유가공품 제조업체와 우유류 판매업체 등 총 740여 곳을 대상으로 실시하며, 점검 항목은 ▲자가품질검사 규정 준수 ▲작업장 내 유가공품 위생적 취급 여부 ▲유가공품 보관 및 유통 온도 등 준수 여부 ▲소비기한 경과 제품 사용·보관 여부 등이다.

점검과 함께 유가공품 500여 건을 현장에서 직접 수거하거나 온라인으로 구매해 식중독균 오염 여부 및 동물용의약품 잔류여부 등에 대해 검사할 계획이다. 특히 영유아가 섭취하는 분유에 대해서는 무기질·비타민 등 영양성분 함량의 적합 여부도 확인할 계획이다.

또 고단백, 저지방 등 특정 영양성분의 함량을 강조해서 표시한 제품의 표시 적정성 여부도 검사한다.

식약처는 가공우유, 발효유 등을 유통·판매할 때 취급에 주의를 기울이지 않으면 미생물 증식의 우려가 있고 이상한 ‘맛’이나 ‘냄새’ 등이 발생할 수 있으므로 제조 및 유통업체에서는 생산설비의 철저한 세척·소독과 냉장·냉동 제품 입출고 시 외부 환경에 장시간 노출되지 않도록 하는 등 안전관리를 위해 노력해야 한다고 강조했다.

이와 함께 소비자들은 우유 등 제품 구매 후 가능하면 바로 섭취하거나 제품에 표시된 보관방법에 따라 냉장 또는 냉동 보관해야 하며, 소비기한 경과 제품은 섭취하지 않도록 주의해야 한다고 당부했다.

식약처는 이번 점검 결과 위반업체에 대해 행정처분하는 등 조치할 예정이다.
