CDMO 사업 늘리는 보령…46개국에 조현병 치료제 공급

보령이 체플라팜(CHEPLAPHARM)과 조현병 치료제 ‘자이프렉사정(성분명 올란자핀)’ 공급을 위한 위탁개발생산(CDMO) 계약을 체결했다. 회사는 내년 말부터 46개국에 제품을 공급하게 된다.

보령은 공급 국가의 인허가가 완료되는 시점에 따라 내년 4분기부터 체플라팜의 글로벌 유통망을 통해 자이프렉사를 수출할 예정이다. 이번 계약은 보령이 경구제 형태의 글로벌 CDMO 계약을 체결한 첫 사례다.

제품은 보령 예산캠퍼스에서 생산될 예정이다. 예산캠퍼스는 2023년 유럽의약품청(EMA)으로부터 세포독성 항암 주사제 생산시설에 대해 EU-GMP 인증을 획득했다. 이어 자이프렉사 생산설비에 대해 경구제 기준의 EU-GMP 인증과 미국 식품의약국(FDA)의 cGMP 인증을 준비 중이다. 또 보령은 브라질 국가위생감시국(ANVISA) 인증도 추진 중이다.

에델트라우드 라퍼 체플라팜 CEO는 “이번 파트너십을 통해 전 세계에 자이프렉사를 더 원활히 공급하고, 환자와 의료진에게 안정적으로 제품을 공급할 수 있게 될 것”이라고 밝혔다. 아르템 부사장도 “이번 계약은 보령과 체플라팜이 긴밀하게 협력해 온 결과”라고 전했다.

김성진 보령 CSO는 “블록버스터 제품의 생산 역량과 글로벌 46개국 허가 및 공급 능력을 동시에 인정받았다”라며 “체플라팜과 여러 협업 확대를 포함해 CDMO 사업의 글로벌 확장 기회를 지속 창출할 것”이라고 강조했다.
