비트컴퓨터, 폐업한 병의원 진료기록 환자에게 돌려준다

비트컴퓨터가 ‘휴·폐업 의료기관 진료기록보관시스템’의 구축을 완료했다.

21일부터 정식 개통된 해당 시스템은 보건복지부와 한국보건의료정보원이 추진하고, 비트컴퓨터가 참여했다. 이 시스템은 의료기관 폐업 이후 방치되던 진료기록의 사각지대를 해소하고, 국민이 온라인 포털을 통해 손쉽게 진료기록을 발급받을 수 있도록 설계된 의료정보 공공서비스다.

비트컴퓨터는 자사의 전자의무기록(EMR) 솔루션인 ‘비트U차트’의 데이터 이관을 통해 진료기록 이관·열람·발급 기능을 구현했다. 이를 통해 휴∙폐업 의료기관과 진료기록보관시스템 연계를 기술적으로 완성, 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다.

기존에는 휴·폐업 의료기관의 진료기록은 보건소장이나 폐업한 의료기관 개설자에 의해 보관됐다. 때문에 환자들이 필요한 자료를 얻기 위해 직접 보건소를 방문해야 했고, 시간이 지나면서 기록이 사라지거나 개설자와 연락이 닿지 않는 등의 이유로 발급할 수 없는 사례도 적지 않았다.

비트컴퓨터는 여러 EMR 시스템이 연계되도록 전체 구조 설계를 주도했다. 시범 운영 동안 1천300건 이상의 진료기록이 온라인으로 발급됐다. 전국 12개 보건소의 현장 반응도 긍정적이었다.

회사 관계자는 “이번 휴·폐업 의료기관 진료기록보관시스템 구축 사업 참여는 기술 개발을 넘어 공공의료 정보 관리체계 고도화에 민간 기술력이 실제 기여한 것”이라며 “공공성을 기반으로 의료 데이터를 안전하게 발급할 수 있는 체계를 마련하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
