슈프리마 AI기반 얼굴인증 단말기, 유럽연합 CE RED 인증 획득

AI 통합보안 솔루션 전문기업 슈프리마(대표 이재원, 김한철)는 자사의  AI기반 얼굴인증 출입통제 단말기가 유럽연합(EU)의 'CE RED' 인증을 획득했다고 23일 밝혔다.

CE(Conformité Européenne)는 유럽연합(EU) 내에서 제품이 안전, 건강, 환경, 소비자 보호 등의 요구사항을 충족한다는 표시고, RED(Radio Equipment Directive)는 무선 장비 지침을 말하는 것으로, 'CE RED'는 무선 장비가 유럽의 CE 마크 기준에 부합함을 인증해주는 것이다.

슈프리마는 유럽연합(EU)이 사이버보안 요구사항을 추가해 개정한 무선기기지침(Radio Equipment Directive, RED) 요건을 모두 충족, 이번에 인증을 받았다. 회사는 "출입통제 업계에서 현재까지 공개된 정보와 우리가 조사한 바에 따르면 이번 인증은 최초의 성과"라면서 "슈프리마 제품이 유럽은 물론 전 세계적으로 보안성과 무선 안정성이 검증된 신뢰할 수 있는 솔루션임을 다시 한번 입증하는 계기가 됐다"고 설명했다.

최근 글로벌 시장에서는 무선 및 IoT 제품에 대한 개인정보보호 관련 규제가 강화되고 있으며, 이에 따라 유럽연합은 오는 8월 1일부터 기존 RED에 강화된 사이버보안 요구사항(Delegated Act (EU) 2022/30)을 새로 적용할 예정이다.

와이파이(Wi-Fi), 블루투스(Bluetooth), 스마트 도어락, 결제 단말기 등 무선(RF) 기능을 포함하는 IoT 기기는 해당 지침을 반드시 따라야 한다. 슈프리마는 강화된 RED 지침이 본격 시행되기 전, 출입통제 업계에서 선제적으로 개정된 CE RED 인증을 획득했다.

이번에 인증을 획득한 슈프리마의 '바이오스테이션 3(BioStation 3)'와 '바이오엔트리 W3(BioEntry W3)'는 AI 엣지(Edge) 기기다. 장치 내에서 딥러닝 기반 얼굴인증 알고리즘을 안정적으로 구동하며, 블루투스 및 NFC 기반의 모바일 출입카드, RFID 카드 등 다양한 출입 인증 옵션을 제공한다.

이를 통해 슈프리마 제품이 강화된 CE RED 핵심 요건인 네트워크 보호, 개인정보 및 프라이버시 보호, 사기 방지 등 더욱 엄격해진 사이버보안 기준을 충족하고 있음을 공식적으로 입증했다고 회사는 설명했다. 이 외에도 지문인식, 모바일 출입카드, RFID 등 다양한 출입인증 방식을 지원하는 슈프리마의 모든 기기가 오는 8월 내에 개정 CE RED의 인증 절차를 모두 완료할 예정이다.

김한철 슈프리마 대표는 “출입통제 업계 최초로 사이버보안 영역이 더욱 강화된 CE RED 인증을 획득하며 국제적으로 요구되는 보안성, 안전성, 무선 성능 기준을 충족하고 있음을 입증했다"면서 "슈프리마는 앞으로도 전 세계 고객들이 강화된 보안 환경에서 출입통제 시스템을 더욱 신뢰하고 운영할 수 있도록 지원할 계획"이라고 밝혔다.
