아이로보틱스, 140억원 제3자배정 유증

로봇 부품업체 아이로보틱스가 140억원 규모 제3자배정 방식 유상증자를 결정했다고 4일 밝혔다.

이번 유상증자는 재무건전성 확보를 바탕으로 회사가 신규 성장동력으로 낙점한 고정밀 드라이브라인(로봇 감속기) 사업을 본격화하고자 추진됐다.

이번 유상증자를 통해 발행되는 신주는 보통주 총 895만1천406주다. 신주 발행가액은 1천564원으로, 신주 배정 대상은 '아이로보틱스혁신성장1호 유한회사'다.

조달 자금 중 대부분인 약 130억원이 감속기 전용 공장부지 확보 및 생산 설비 투자에 활용된다.

신주 발행가액은 최근 1개월 평균 주가 1천422원 대비 약 10%의 할증률이 적용됐다.

아이로보틱스 관계자는 "신사업의 성공은 물론 회사의 기업가치 재평가에 대한 당사의 자신감이 반영된 결과"라고 말했다.

아이로보틱스는 최근 차세대 고정밀 감속기 라인업을 기반으로 로봇과 방산산업을 겨냥한 신사업을 추진하고 있다.

이를 위해 최근 김형모 대표를 영입해 기술 역량 강화에 속도를 내고 있다. 김 대표는 미국 일리노이 주립대 공과대학에서 기계공학 박사학위 취득하고, 하모닉드라이브사 미국 본사에서 로봇감속기 개발에 참여했다.

아이로보틱스 관계자는 "이번 유상증자는 재무적 안정성과 신사업 실행 동력을 동시에 충족하는 전략적 결정"이라며 "초경량·고정밀 감속기 분야에서 대한민국 대표 기업으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
